Short answer
Permi is built for the written car permit test: lessons from your state's official handbook, an exam simulator, a daily plan and a readiness score, in English and Spanish with no ads and a 14-day free trial on the monthly plan. DMV Genie is English only, lists no free trial, and covers motorcycle and CDL tests too. For the car permit test, especially in Spanish, choose Permi. For a motorcycle or CDL test, DMV Genie covers those.
Your state writes the test, so start with its free handbook and any free sample tests. See our guide to free official permit test practice.
