About Permi
Last updated
Permi is a permit test prep app for US learners on iOS and Android, in English and Spanish. It turns your state's official driver handbook into short daily lessons, practice questions and a practice exam.
How we build the questions
Every question is written in our own words from your state's official driver handbook, and every answer explains why and points to the handbook section it comes from.
We draft with AI tools, and a person checks each fact against the official source before it goes live. Read the full process in our editorial policy.
What we promise, and what we don't
We keep this list short so you can hold us to it.
- No ads inside lessons or practice tests.
- No fine-print guarantees. Instead, a readiness score shows you when you're ready to book your test.
- No made-up reviews, ratings or user counts. If a number is on this site, it is real.
- Permi is not affiliated with any state DMV or other government agency.
Where to start
Take the free 1-minute practice quiz to see where you stand, then get access to Permi for daily lessons and a full practice exam. Our state guides link to your official handbook and any free official practice tests.
